Subject: Safety Issue / Wall Charger Recall

Dear SkyCaddie^® Customer:

Power Products Unlimited, Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain Switching Adaptors, commonly called Wall Chargers or AC Battery Chargers.  The wall chargers subject to this recall were manufactured by Power Products and sold in the United Kingdom for use with the SG5, SG2 USB, and SG2.5 SkyCaddie units.  It is possible for these wall chargers to overheat, which could pose a risk of fire, electrical shock or other injury.                                                         

The wall chargers were sold beginning 21 November 2007.  The words “Switching ADAPTOR”, the letters “LPS”, and “MODEL:TC301-0510B10” are printed on a label on the back of the wall charger.  Please see below for representative pictures of the potentially affected wall charger and the charger’s label.             

You should immediately discontinue use of any wall charger subject to this recall.

Power Products has enlisted resellers of SkyCaddie to assist with this recall.  You may have received communication from them directly.  Please refer all questions on how to obtain a replacement charger to your SkyCaddie reseller.

Although the wall charger TC301-0510B10 is being recalled, you may continue to use your SkyCaddie and charge it with these products:

• The USB computer cable provided in the original SkyCaddie packaging (requires connection to a powered-on computer). 
• SkyCaddie SG5 and SG2.5 DC car chargers.
